How it was collected

This is the full published set of candidate outcomes, not a sample of a larger one. Compensation is self-reported fixed CTC in Indian rupees. Hike percentage is (new − old) / old, computed per candidate and then medianed. No weighting, no exclusions.

What it cannot tell you

• n = 14. Too small to segment by city, role or experience band without misleading. We do not cut it that way and neither should anyone citing it.
• The median hike is not the ratio of the median packages. Those are separate order statistics over the same rows, and they will not reconcile if you try.
• This is a self-selected group — people who worked with us and agreed to be named. It is not a market survey.
